We have taken down our pages on the Canadian Forces. We support our troops, however we are very concerned with the management of the Forces and the Afghan mission by the Canadian Government. Basically, we feel that the mission was poorly managed, generated unreasonable costs and casualties and resulted in only minimal benefits to the Afghanis while very seriously destroying the overall effectiveness and capacity of our Forces. We are grateful for the heroic bravery and service by our Troops.
We are taking our Forces related pages down because we do not feel we can add anything positive to help the existing situation which we feel is grim. The objectives of this website are to enlighten and entertain and at this point there is nothing funny about the mission nor is there an obvious solution to the situation our troops and taxpayers find themselves in. Should the situation change we will consider starting up our Forces pages again. Webmaster ron - march 27/09
Update May 24th 2009 I found this very interesting page on coalition losses in Afghanistan and also there is a google earth page Map the Fallen that geographically locates each loss which serves as a memorial to all these brave individuals who gave their lives to this mission and their country.
