Welcome to our Free Page. We agree with people who passionately believe that everything on the Internet should be free. Unlike a lot of others, we are doing something about it- not just talking about it. We are providing this free listing service for people who wish to give away their cars, houses, boats, trucks or (purebred) puppies. Before we get to the listings, here are the Rules:

This is NOT a junk page. Your car must be in good running condition and not requiring any repairs. You must provide a safety inspection from an independent garage certifying the condition of your vehicle. Your house must not be what is referred to in the trade as a "fixer -upper" It must pass an independent house inspection and not require any repairs and not be infested with termites or vermin. All taxes and utility bills must be up to date. All boats MUST be in good condition and have a professional marine surveyors report to that effect. There must be no moorage or storage owing. Trucks must be in mechanically good condition, have a vehicle safety inspection and be of North American manufacture. They must be clean inside and out and all maintenance must be up to date. Paint and body damage must be repaired. All vehicles must have a full tank of fuel. If your house is on oil the tank must be full and a recent inspection of the heating system must be available. Please note that we do not accept junky old RV's, ATV's or surplus military aircraft carriers like the ones shown above.

At first you may think that we are being totally unreasonable but experience has taught us that some unscrupulous  people give things away when in fact the items have hidden defects that may cause several hundred or even thousands of dollars to repair. In fact they are just dumping their problems on unsuspecting people who can ill afford it. They are not doing you a favor they are handing you a liability and avoiding the problem themselves. So that's why we have the rules -to set a standard.

 Trucks like these are ok if tested and if the fuel tanks are full. No "hi-milers", slipping transmissions, worn out tires etc please!

Those wishing to give items away must have legal title to the items and the items must not be encumbered by any financial liabilities which would prevent the transfer of title to the new owner. For example if you owe money on the item or are using it as collateral for a loan or other purpose you cannot give it away (you silly goose!) If you wake up one day and decide you hate your spouse you cannot simply just give away their stuff just because you threw a hissy fit. None of that! And we absolutely will not become involved in listing items available as a result of a family breakup or a bet. We are not that type of business!

Too often people attempt to give away pure junk and this website will not play any part in that chump's game. There are lots of people that will haul your junk for a small fee. Don't be a cheapskate -pay them to do it. We don't. When somebody is looking for something for free the last thing they want to do is spend good money on repairs. Please show some consideration!

We had one widow lady try to give her husbands "new" truck away but when we asked about it she broke down in tears and admitted that it was not new just very low mileage and garage kept! Apparently he had used it once then got a heart attack and it had been garage kept for over 15 years. We told her that she should be ashamed of herself for trying to trick people like that. Our point is that in all likelihood that vehicle had not been started for over 15 years and probably would need a new battery and have the stale gas drained and the fuel system cleaned out. Who wants a wreck like that! The point here is that we maintain high standards on this website. Deal with it!

When making your free offer please give the location of the item. Please indicate if you are willing to pay the transportation expenses for those who wish to pick up your items or if delivery is possible. If you are willing to cover overnight accommodation in at least a mid quality hotel (pool preferred) and food this occasionally will help move your item. You may wish to check with the person you are giving the item to and see if they have any favorite food or drinks. Sometimes it also helps if you give them a modest reward or "finder's fee" as a sign of your good will -usually not to exceed ten percent of the value of the item. 

To list your items please send an email to free listings.  Please provide an accurate  legal description of the property you wish to give away and a photo if possible in jpeg format. Include an email address where you can be contacted.

The person who receives the free item will of course be expected to give to the person donating the item an amount in goods or money or a combination thereof equal to the value of the item received subject to the approval of the donator. This is only fair. This way both parties get something for free and it all balances out. Simple accounting.

Lastly please do not make fun of people who are looking for free items. The reason that they are doing this is usually they are simply hoping to avoid the tedious and stressful process of working years to acquire the asset and wish to more efficiently use their time. You may have had to pay full price for an item and work hard for it but so what? You can't take it with you! What good is that house or car or boat or truck going to do you when you are dead? None is the answer. And if you are not going to die soon you eventually will anyway.  So think about it. The people you give the items to may have financial problems but they are alive. If you don't give the items away somebody else will get them anyway so why not control who gets them now? I find often that when you apply pure logic and sweet reason to a problem that everything makes sense.  

We are providing this as a public service without fees of any kind. All deals are between the two parties. Each party must confirm with the other to their mutual satisfaction using due diligence that the terms of the transaction are satisfactory in all respects. We have not inspected or verified the listings in any way we are simply listing what people tell us. Please note that the transactions may generate a tax liability for each party depending on where the transactions occur and the taxation rules at that location.

We had one gentleman phone offering his 2500 square foot rancher in Southern California for free but he expressed a concern that we would take it rather than place it on the free listings for our viewers. I immediately called him a jerk and hung up. Who did he think he was! We are simply the free listing agent here! I have more than enough "stuff" myself and have no interest in free items that I know others need much more than I do. So please show a bit of faith when offering to list items! Really! I can't believe how mean spirited some people are!

Now lets be clear about the free puppy listings too. We will only accept puppies which come with a vet's certificate that the puppy is purebred not a cross breed (DNA proof required plus tattoo) and that all shots have been given and that the puppy has come from good stock and there is no sign of instability in either parent. We had one clever (she thought) lady who attempted to donate this puppy and we found out that it's vet certificate was in fact forged! It turned out the puppy was a mixed breed and in fact was a mix of a Labrador and an Irish setter making the animal a great danger to small children. You never know when a dog like this will snap. Look at it- it appears to be considering snapping right now! We told the lady NEVER to do that again and that she should be ashamed of herself. She hung up in tears and we phoned the police on her. We have our standards!
